Remnants
The work presents an abstract landscape, consisting of dried and solidified acrylic paint pieces, which is seen through a disused window frame. Chefetz chooses an architectural object, continuing the theme of looking through a window. However, in this case, it is an actual window that was once part of a real house: a white frame, an aluminum track, and a screen that has torn over time and lost its purpose. Through the tears in the net, colorful fragments of acrylic paint, created through the process of painting, drying, wetting, peeling, and layering, are revealed. These are the remnants of paint collected like dry leaves during the work process on the other paintings in the exhibition. The different parts do not create a definitive figurative image: it seems that in this window the familiar, clear landscapes, and the ethereal skies merge into one another.
